Idag kan jag jag stolt berätta att min Pyttipanna har kommit med i Hemmets Journals, Sticka&skicka-projekt.
I tidningen finns beskrivningen och på på Kyrkkaffebloggen finns ett mycket fint reportage.
Det känns otroligt bra att kunna vara med i detta!

Nu ligget den på tork, mitt lilla experiment. Det är 100%silke och det brukar inte vara snabbtorkande så det lär dröja tills jag kan prova den.
Hursomhelst, först var jag noga och trixande med blockningsvajrar och nålar. Sen kom jag på att det kan man ju inte hålla på med varenda gång man tvättat. Därför fick det bli den enklast möjliga variant av blockning. Jag vet inte om man ens kan kalla det för blockning, jag har ju bara tvättat, pressat ur vattnet med frottéhandduk och sen lagt den slätt för att plantorkas.
Mer info kommer när den torkat och provats!

This is my Little Crow. It’s knitted with Supersoft from Magasin Duett
(www.magasinduett.se).
The stripes are knitted in the colorways Alpine Rose and Pea Green, the Crows in Geranium.
I really do like to knit with lace or fingering yarn with needles slightly larger than
recommended. I like how sheer the fabric gets.
This is another example with two different colors of the crows, knit in colorways Alium and
Damask). The stripes are made in Saphire and Aquamarine.
You can order yarn kits from Magasin Duett! You get 2 skeins in the color of your choice and 2 mini skeins for the Crows and flowers, in different or in the same color. All for the price of 90 SEK + shipping cost.

I’ll always update the pattern for corrections or if I figure out smarter solutions!
The shawl is knitted with circular needles # 5/ US 8. Pointy needles or stiletto needles are recommended for a really good knitting experience. You also need a crotchet hook size 3,5 for the bind off.
My abbreviations:
Stripe1= All increases will be made in this color. I’ve chosen to do the increases as a YO and then knit them twisted on next row. If your numbers aren’t correct, it’s easy to adjust on the next row. You can certainly do any other kind of increasing that you are more comfortable with.
Stripe2 = all Crows are knitted within one stripe of this color.
st = stitch
k = knit
p = purl
YO = yarn over
x number* = repeat from * to *, X number of times
Stripes: The shawl is knitted in stripes. 2 rows in stockinette in the same color makes one stripe. The first and last 3 stitches of each row are always knitted.
When changing colors, always knit the first stitch with BOTH colors. By doing so, you don’t have to take care of a lot of loose ends! Keep an eye on the 3 first and last stitches to keep them at the same lengthwise.
Increasing row: is always done within Stripe1, you do the increases (yo’s) on the first row and purl them twisted on the next row.
Crow stripe: A Crow stripe is always knitted within with Stripe2 color. Knit 1 row. Now, slide the stitches on the needle back as if to start knitting the row again. Then make a Crow stitch in crow color. Purl back with stripe2 color.
Crow stitch: Knit with Crow color. Always slip the first and last 4 stitches. Slip 2 stitches as if to K2tog twist them and slip them back the left. Knit 3 stitches together through the back loop, YO and knit 1 in the same back loop. Make sure that the crow stitch is loose. I modified the Deisy (sometimes also a Bellis) stitch, to be centered. Since I think that is looks like the foot of a Crow, I’ll call it a Crow! You can also describe it as a centered 3st decrease immediately increased to 3 st again.
Break the Crowst yarn when you finished the row.
CO 5 st with Stripe2.

Row 2. k3,YO, k3. (7 sts)
Row 3. k3, YO, p1, YO, k3. (9 sts) Always knit all YO twisted on next row.
Row 4. K2, YO, k2, YO, k1, YO, k2, YO, k2. (13 sts)
Row 5. k3, YO, p7, YO, k3. (15 sts)
Row 6. Stripe1. k2, YO, k1, *k1, YO, x 8* k2, YO, k2. (25 sts)
Row 7. k3, YO, p19, YO, k3. (27 sts)
That was the start, now, let’s count stripes instead. Each stripe contains of 2 stockniette rows!
Knit 1 stripe in stripe2 (NB! Increases only on this row) k3,YO, k21, YO, k3 (29 sts).
Increasing row #1, stripe1. k3, *YO, k1 x 23* YO, k3 (53 sts).
Knit 3 more stripes with stripe2, stripe1, stripe2.
Increasing row #2, stripe1. k4, *YO, k2 x 23* YO, k3 (77 sts)
Knit 2 stripes.
From this point it’s always 2 stripes between a Crow stripe and an increasing row.

New abbreviations:
KYO3 = K1 but YO 3 times before pulling yarn through the stitch.
S5L = Slip 5 long stitches. Hold the yarn between the shawl and yourself, slip one of the 3
loops to the right needle, let go of the other 2. You’ll now have 5 extremely long stitches on
your right needle. Twist the yarn 2 1/2 times around those 5 stitches by moving them from
right needle to left needle, back to right needle and so on. Below you can see a simple sketch.
When you’re done, tighten the yarn a little bit but not too hard.
Row 1. In the color that you chose for the frame of the flower. Knit all the stitches.
Row 2. K
Row 3. In the color you chose for the flower: k3, *5 x KYO3, k1,x 52* k2
Row 4. k3, *S5L, p1, x 52* k2.
Row 5 and 6, knit as row 1 and 2.
Bind off. I choose the crotched bind off since it’s easier to do a couple of single crotches that at useful
when blocking the shawl. I used a crotchet hook size 3,5 or US size E.
Crochet abbreviations:
sc = single crochet
ch = chain
Chain 4, 1 sc in the first of the 4 chain stitches. *5 sc in the stitches of from the shawl, in the
next stitch 1 sc, ch 4, 1 sc* repeat until all stitches are crotched and finish with chain 4 and a
sc in the last stitch.
Fasten loose ends and block the shawl.

Ja, jag gick med i den utmaningen. Jag vill gärna ha hemstickade sockor men jag tycker inte om att sticka sockor. Så jag har utmanat mig själv att åtminstone sticka ett par. Ett lagom mål för mig.
Jag anmälde mitt deltagande på den blogg som finns för det här men jag hittar inte in. Nu känner jag att det kan räcka med att använda taggen #dödergökssockutmaning, på Instagram.
Jag har köpt ett alldeles fantastiskt vackert garn för att ytterligare öka på motivationen.
Garnet är multifärgat vilket innebär att jag tänker sticka ett par släta sockor. Jag tycker inte så mycket om när det blir mönster på mönster.
Fast jag kanske ändrar mig när jag kommer till skaften.
Jag stickar från tårna, bägge på en gång och jag funderar på att testa Sweet Tomato Heel.
Mitt första försök med 64 maskor visade sig bli för stort. Nu har jag 60 maskor på stickor 2,5 och jag tror det kommer att bli lagom.
Håll tummarna för att det blir ett par sockor till slut!
Det är otroligt vilken skillnad det blir på färgerna beroende på ljuset i rummet. Det är i allafall samma garn på bägge. Jag tycker nog att den undre bilden stämmer bäst med verkligheten.

Nu har jag stickat en liten Kråka med två varv färre än i beskrivningen. Det blev mycket bättre så nu ska jag ändra i beskrivningen.
Det är i ränderna efter, Ökningsvarv 1, där räcker det med tre ränder.
Det går bra med fem ränder också, så om du kanske redan börjat med en egen liten Kråka, så behöver du inte repa upp.
Den här gången har jag stickat med ränder i Bleached White och Allium, kråkor i Aquamarine. Som alltid i Supersoft från Magasin Duett!

Den här Kråkan är också stickad i Supersoft från Magasin Duett.
Färgerna i ränderna är vitt och silvergrått. I Kråkor och blomfärg så tror jag det är Comfrey och Marlin, men jag är inte helt säker.
Jag har beställt askar med smånystan och då är färgerna omärkta.
Jag tror att man snart kan köpa en färgkarta, det skulle vara bra tycker jag!

Jag tog lite närbilder på hur Kråkan ser ut. Här kan man se att den är stickad ganska löst. Det är bra för annars stramar den ihop själva tyget.
